Have you got your social media activity, right?
Using social media marketing can be a really effective marketing tool. Though you cannot assume that what you are posting is the right content for your audience or that is it working well for your business.
Evaluate and modify
In order to understand what works and what does not there are several things you can do:
Use a social media calendar to keep a record of what you are posting on which platforms. Once you start posting monitor and track your results e.g. likes, share and comments. Some content will work better than others and you may find some of your posts get more engagement on some platforms rather than others. The results can be surprising and not what you expected.
Track your data
Each network has analytics to provide data on your posts. Combine this with data from your Google Analytics account and you will be able to see which posts and platforms drive traffic to your website.
Test and re-evaluate
Once you start to build data on your social media activity you can really understand what works and what does not. This valuable data can feed into future social media activities and your strategy to ensure you are maximising your social media activity.
Be aware of change
Social media changes quickly plus your business will evolve too. There are always new social media platforms being launched and current platforms will have demographic changes. This means you need to monitor and evaluate your activity regularly. Then adapt your social media activity to reflect the current market and your business needs
